Rather than simply discussing whether Bozzo Law might take on your matter, the scheduled time is devoted to providing legal advice and strategic assistance within an agreed, limited scope.You remain in control of your matter and, unless a separate retainer is subsequently agreed upon, Bozzo Law does not assume ongoing carriage of your file.

Starter is a 40-minute phone consultation designed for a discrete legal issue requiring immediate advice and strategic direction.Executive is a two-hour online session for matters requiring substantive analysis and strategic positioning. It includes targeted review of one key legal instrument.Luminary is a five-hour, in-person intensive for complex or high-stakes matters requiring comprehensive analysis, risk assessment and strategic positioning. Strategy Sessions may be suitable for self-represented litigants, individuals or professionals facing an important legal decision, and businesses requiring focused advice on a discrete issue.They may also be useful where a client requires strategic assistance with litigation, negotiation, settlement, a contract or other legal document, mediation preparation, or another matter suitable for limited-scope legal services.

Can I book a Strategy Session if I am representing myself?

Yes. Strategy Sessions can be particularly useful for self-represented litigants who want legal advice while continuing to manage their own matter.Bozzo Law can help you better understand your legal position, identify risks and options, and develop a strategy or practical next steps. You remain responsible for your matter, including procedural requirements and applicable deadlines, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Will you review my documents before the session?

It depends on the tier selected.Starter is intended for immediate advice and does not ordinarily include advance document review.Executive includes targeted review of one key legal instrument, such as a pleading or contract.Luminary includes more extensive advance review of agreed core case materials and pleadings.Any materials to be reviewed should be provided sufficiently in advance of the scheduled session and are subject to the agreed scope of the engagement.

Can you draft or revise a legal document for me?

Potentially. Whether document drafting or revision is appropriate depends on the nature of the matter, the session selected and the scope agreed upon with Bozzo Law.Where work beyond the agreed Strategy Session is required, its scope and any additional fees will be discussed separately before that work is undertaken.

Question 8

Does booking a Strategy Session mean that Bozzo Law has accepted me as a client?

Accepted Answer

Not immediately. A booking reserves your requested appointment time and is subject to Bozzo Law completing a conflict check and accepting the limited-scope engagement.Once the engagement has been accepted, you will receive confirmation from Bozzo Law. If the engagement cannot be accepted, the reservation will be cancelled and you will not be charged.

When will I be charged?

A payment card is required to reserve your appointment, but the Strategy Session fee is not charged at the time of booking.Once the session has been completed, the applicable fixed fee will be charged to the payment card on file. The advertised Strategy Session prices are inclusive of HST.

What happens if I need ongoing legal representation afterward?

A Strategy Session does not create an ongoing general retainer or require you to retain Bozzo Law afterward.If additional assistance would be beneficial, you and Bozzo Law can discuss the appropriate next step. Depending on the circumstances, that may involve another limited-scope engagement or a separate retainer for additional legal services.
